River Hills Club was officially founded in 1964 by Slew Hester and a couple of Jackson businessmen, whose dream it was to build a first-class tennis facility. From the club's inception, it has been the premier tennis club in Mississippi. Boasting a total of 21 outdoor and 4 indoor tennis courts, the club has since become a first-class swimming and fitness center as well. In 2006, River Hills Club began a huge capital improvement program, which included the total rebuilding of our tennis courts and the erection of a 26,000 sq ft clubhouse patterned after a Louisiana plantation home.
