Raul Saad, formerly the Director of Tennis at the USTA’s Player Development Headquarters at Key Biscayne, FL is a USPTA (US Professional Tennis Association) “Master Professional”, a certification achieved by less than 1% of Coaching Professionals worldwide. He is also a Professional Tennis Coaches Association (PTCA) “Master Professional,” being 1 of only 3 professionals world wide to hold Master Professional certification with both associations.

Saad was a High School State Champion and a 3 time Collegiate All American, winning the Collegiate National Championship in 1984. He served as a Graduate Assistant Coach at the University of Tennessee where the team was the SEC Conference Champion and achieved a top 3 national ranking. At UT, Saad earned his Master Degree with academic honors. He also served as the Head Coach for Carson-Newman College where he coached the team to a runner up finish in the Conference and a top 10 National ranking.

Raul has had a long and distinguished coaching career in which he successfully coached hundreds of players with State, Sectional and National rankings, as well as players competing in the ATP & WTA Tours. Saad was selected as a US National Coach to travel with the National Team representing the USA in international competitions and was awarded the USPTA “National Touring Coach of the Year.” Additionally, Raul travelled for many years in the professional tours, having coached in the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, US Open and most other major ATP & WTA professional championships. He was inducted into his High School “Hall of Fame” and also his collegiate alma mater’s Hall of Fame.

Saad is a respected author and lecturer, having written dozens of articles and studies published in sport science newsletters and national magazines and having been featured as a speaker in numerous symposiums and seminars throughout the US and abroad. He also was the Host and Producer of “Between the Lines”, a weekly tennis TV program, which reached an audience of 500,000 people.

Saad holds the “USA High Performance Coach” Certification, endorsed by all the tennis coaching government bodies: USTA, USPTA, and PTR. He also held USPTA top 10 National rankings in Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles and served as a member of the Head, Reebok and Bolle National Advisory Staff and Speaker’s bureaus. Raul has been nominated to serve in the National Board of the USPTA.

Raul’s tennis experience is rich and multifaceted. He has successfully served as General Manager/CEO at one of the most prestigious clubs in the south, winning the USPTA “National Club Manager of the Year” award in 2011. He successfully served as the Racquet Sports Director at one of the most exclusive private clubs in the U.S., owned a tennis club and also served as a consultant to a multiplicity of clubs in the US and abroad.

He is currently the co-founder and President of Freeze Frame Tennis, an internet platform that provides video analysis of tennis strokes, which are performed by the best touring ATP & WTA coaches in the world, such as Sven Groeneveld (Maria Sharapova’s Coach).
